The Five Little Peppers and How They Grew – by Harriett Mulford Stone Lothrop

Hey Girls!  FYI, Harriett Mulford Stone Lothrop, is Harriett Mulford Stone Lothrop, but she isn’t. Doesn’t make sense, right?  Let me explain:  She wrote under a secret name, and that secret name was “Margaret Sidney (June 22 1844 – August 2 1924).” Harriett Mulford Stone was born in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1844. She hadn’t published anything until 1878 at the age of 34.

Anyway, I am reading one of her books, which is called “Five Little Peppers and How They Grew.” It is a very friendly, warming story, which I like, but I would suggest –  if she was still alive – some action. It’s about a poor family who works together, and is grateful for everything, some of you have a lot, and are you always wanting more and not being grateful? Think about that – I’m not saying I don’t do that!

Merry Christmas!

Your  friend,

Keilah
